Short introduction of SEAMIC-IM

draft ver.0.2 15 Dec. 2010

The Southeast Asian Medical Information Center (SEAMIC) was formally started in 19721), with the purpose of promoting cooperation in health fields among Japan and ASEAN countries, funded by Official Development Assistance (ODA) of Japanese government.

SEAMIC published literature indexes during the 1970s to 1990s, which contained bibliographic information of health articles published in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, and Thailand. Although SEAMIC ceased its activity in 2004, these indexes are still useful for regional health researchers as pre-WPRIM information sources.
